In 2021 he was re-elected to serve as President for another 4 years. We look forward to your support as we professionally coordinate, promote and develop Taekwondo as its Governing Body here in Barbados.

As an active member of the Williams Taekwondo Dojang, and previously UWI Taekwondo, I would have been involved in several activities held by the Taekwondo Association of Barbados over the years. This includes both participating as an athlete and later as an official in numerous competitions. In addition, I assisted with the execution of Taekwondo at the National Sports Council Summer Camp on two occasions.
I am currently an experienced Black Belt who has trained under instructors such as: Mr. Ogeji Dottin (Combermere), Mr. Steven Haynes (UWI) and Mr. Anthony Williams. I have also worked with Mr. Adrian Burnett, Mr. Askia Alleyne and Mr. Chetwyn Gilkes and various others.
I have an interest in the overall development of Taekwondo in Barbados and I believe, given my qualifications of being a certified educator at the Secondary School level, that I can offer a different perspective and would like to contribute to the decision making of the Executive Council of the Taekwondo Association of Barbados.

Born in Barbados in August 1990, Pamela attended West Terrace Primary School, Alexandra School and Combermere School.
Following her graduation from UWI (Cave Hill) in 2013 with a BSc, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Sociology, she continued to work at the Psychiatric Hospital for a few years. During this time, she pursued a certificate in Supervisory Management and another in Project Management, both at Barbados Institute of Management and Productivity (BIMAP).
After that, she worked at the Office of National Insurance and then at Central Purchasing. She availed herself of the opportunity to pursue a course at the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic (now the Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute of Technology) which led to the conferral of a diploma in Massage Therapy.
For the past three years, Pamela has found her niche, working in the Primary School system. In 2022, she was awarded a distinction in the Teaching and Practice of Education of Diploma of Education offered by Erdiston Teachers’ College. Currently a teacher at St. Giles’ Primary School, Pamela has assumed the role of Brownie Guider, with a particular responsibility for the Blossoms.
Pamela has always been interested in promoting physical activities, whether as an active participant or an avid promoter and supporter. At school and as a university student, she danced. She also enjoyed watching cricket and enjoyed a stint of being Alexandra’s official scorer. While employed at the Psychiatric Hospital, she was an important member of the sports and social club which organised, inter alia, inter- organisational football and cricket tournaments.
As a parent, she enrolled her son in swimming and taekwondo, where she is his most ardent supporter, providing him with all of the required gear as well as the emotional support which she believes is critical to ensuring that young people do their best.
Furthermore, she has volunteered with both sports to work with other parents to organise fund-raising and fun events in order to promote the growth of the organisations. She has a critical eye for improvements and is always to share her views so that all constituents can work together for the betterment of the clubs
